Springs has character. Typical of the Devlin-VonHagge designs, it has
some holes which are severe, and none on which anybody goes to sleep.
Nine holes have water, and their mix is rather typical of the course.
Thoughtfully developed within a conservation area, pair of 2,000-year-old
cypress trees and tree-lined fairways are part of a perfectly serene golf
experience. The course is not particularly long, measuring in at just
over 6,500 yards, but accuracy is important as the relatively flat fairways
are fairly tight. The rough is usually pretty thick at Winter Springs,
making hitting the fairway off the tee a premium if you want a decent
shot at the green.
